BSkyB and BeBanjo Team up for Sky Player Service

UK’s leading satellite broadcaster chooses BeBanjo workflow solution product

MADRID – 29 June 2009 - BSkyB has today announced today it has chosen BeBanjo’s Sequence Media workflow solution to manage the operations of the on demand segment of its Sky Player service. Sequence is a web based collaboration solution to help media companies manage their operations more efficiently

Sequence will enable Sky to keep track of everything that happens with a title from the moment it gets scheduled on Sky player until it goes on air, keeping every one in the Sky Player team and their content suppliers on the same page all the time, in real time. Sequence enables them to collaborate and share information like never before.

Sequence takes away the bureaucracy associated with keeping content owners, service providers, distributors and their various teams in the same loop. It helps them to become more efficient, make fewer mistakes and be constantly on top of what’s happening with every aspect of their media operations.

Sequence is used by BSkyB to manage its Sky Player service and by Telefonica Spain to manage part of the operations of its Imagenio IPTV platform.

“We are thrilled to be working with Sky.” said Bastian Manintveld, Founder of BeBanjo. “Having them on board shows that we’re addressing a previously unmet need to give people in media operations and those who interact with them better tools to do their jobs”

“As Sky Player grows, our workflow becomes increasingly intricate.” said Duncan Thompson at Sky. “Sequence helps us to manage this in a better informed and more elegant way, helping us to be more productive and communicate better on workflow matters. Both internally and externally.”
